"UPDATE: Serious crash in Timaru near Kerrytown"
Police can confirm a 80-year-old woman has died in a crash near Kerrytown, Timaru, this afternoon.
Police were called to the crash between a car and a van near the intersection of SH 1 and Arowhenua Station Road about 2:30pm.
The Serious Crash Unit continues to investigate and diversions remain in place for now.
