Man arrested following burglary in Tauranga
Police were notified about a burglary at the Fraser Cove Shopping Centre just after 2am this morning.
Two offenders had used a Subaru Forrester to gain entry to a store, taking a large amount of merchandise.
One of the offenders fled the scene in this vehicle, and the other left in a grey Mazda.
The Mazda was spotted a short time later by Police and a 32-year-old male was arrested.
He will appear in the Tauranga District Court later today facing charges of dangerous driving, burglary, unlawfully taking a motor vehicle and failing to stop.
Enquiries are ongoing to locate the other offender and his vehicle, and they would like to hear from anyone who may have seen a black Subaru Forrester in the Fraser Street area around the time of the burglary.
