Update - Baby kidnapping Incident - Two arrests

Please attribute to Detective Inspector Scott Beard, Auckland City Police.
Police have arrested a 21-year-old and an 18-year-old woman in relation to the kidnapping of an 11-year-old baby on Wednesday, 9 August, 2017.
Both woman will appear in the Auckland District Court on Thursday 10 August, 2017 facing kidnapping and burglary charges.
This has been an extremely stressful time for the parents of the young baby and we are pleased the investigation was resolved swiftly to help relieve the parents distress.
At this stage of the investigation Police are not looking for anyone else in relation to the kidnapping, however enquiries are ongoing.
As the matter is now before the courts Police are unable to release further details and therefore will not be holding media interviews.
