Western Southland Police have charged three men with firearms offences in relation to two shooting incidents in Rowallan, Southland, in July.
Early in the morning on July 17th 2017 Police received reports that a ute occupied by a group of young males had shot a pet goat and an outhouse at a remote hut in the Rowallan area.
Earlier that night Police had received reports that a group of the same description had also fired shots near another hut, scaring the occupants.
Western Southland Police have since been making enquiries into the two incidents and yesterday executed search warrants at three separate Riverton addresses.
In the searches firearms were located and three 17-year-old local Riverton men were arrested in relation to the above incidents.
The men have been charged with serious firearms offences and will appear in the Invercargill District Court next week.
