"Gull service station in Whitikahu Waikato, robbed"
At about 6.10pm tonight, Friday 4 August, the Gull petrol station at Whitikahu was robbed by two men, one holding a hammer.
Two men, believed to be Maori were dressed completely in black and were wearing balaclavas over their faces.
They have entered the service station and confronted the three attendants.
None of the attendants were injured, but were shaken by the ordeal and have been offered victim support.
The offenders have taken cash, confectionery and nine trays of cigarettes and have left the premises.
Seen in the area at the time, was a late model 1990s silver hatch back, possibly a Mazda Familia. Police are eager to hear from the public about any sightings of a car fitting this description.
