Police responding to reports of shooting near Whangarei

Police are currently at the scene of an incident near Whangarei where the AOS have been deployed.
Initial reports suggest two people have been shot.
Cordons have been put in place at the intersections of Mount Tiger Rd/Whareora Rd, and at Mount Tiger Rd/Whangarei Heads Rd.
Police advise the public to avoid the area.
We are unable to provide any further information at this stage, but we will send out an update as soon as possible.
