"Update # 3 – search for fisherman, Southland"
Police and LandSAR teams have completed another day of searching for a fisherman who was reported overdue on Sunday.
The missing man, 29-year-old Shan Norton McLauchlan, has not been found.
A total of 14 personnel from Police and LandSAR teams from Tokanui and Owaka have been involved in the search along the Slope Point coastline, with support from Amateur Radio Emergency Communications in Invercargill.
Over the next 12 hours or so, Police will consider the next steps.
A decision will be made tomorrow on the future of the search.
