"UPDATE: Crash in Patea"
A section of Patea Road is closed while the Serious Crash Unit assess the scene of a crash earlier this afternoon.
The collision between a car and a motorcylist happened on Patea Road between Kaharoa and O'Reilly Roads.
A person in the car has been transported to hospital via helicopter, and was reported to be in a serious condition.
Motorists should expect delays or take alternate routes if possible.
