NZ Transport Agency traffic update: SH 6 Franz Josef To Fox Glacier ( Omoeroa), Slip, highway closed
A slip has closed SH6 at Omoeroa between the two glaciers in South Westland. The next update of this on the Transport
Agency’s web page will be around 6 pm. Crews will be doing their best to clear it as soon as they can. Check the weblink later for an update.
This is the summary I have received from the contractor:
A slip at Omoeroa, in the Fox Hills, between Franz and Fox has closed the road.
Contractors are on site and equipment is en route.
The current public update time for the road closure is 6pm.
