"Police attend aggravated robbery in Porirua"
At approximately 8pm this evening a man armed with a sawn-off rifle entered a diary in Warspite Avenue, Porirua, and demanded cash.
The shopkeeper handed over some money and the man left the diary.
The man is desribed as Maori and of medium build.
He was wearing a black hoodie, black balaklava and black sunglasses.
Police ask anyone with any information on this man's identity or whereabouts to contact Wellington Central Police Station on 04 381 2000.
Alternatively, anonymous information can be reported to Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
