"Appeal for help to find eight-tonne horse truck stolen in Hastings"
Police are appealing for information after an eight-tonne horse truck, with a custom-made white and green horse box, was stolen from a building site at Middle Road, Havelock North, Hastings, overnight on Friday 27 May. A number of building tools are also believed to have been taken.
The white Mitsubishi FUSO Fighter truck is a big vehicle that would be hard not to notice.
It has "RN and AM LEE Partnership" written on the driver's door, and the letter 'U' is missing from the word FUSO on the back of the vehicle.
It’s thought that the burglary could be linked to another recent incident in the rural Hawke’s Bay area, where two farm bikes and a firearm were taken.
Anyone who may have seen the horse truck since Friday night, or who knows of its current whereabouts, is asked to contact Hastings Police on 06 831 0700 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
