Integrating Careers New Zealand into the Tertiary Education Commission is a positive move, says Wellington Chamber of Commerce.
“This will allow for better integration of careers information and guidance with education choices from secondary through to tertiary education,” says Chamber Chief Executive John Milford.
“This is a good move, and will go a long way to helping students choose a career pathway beginning at Year 7. It will provide school children who may not attend tertiary institutions with valuable career advice throughout their schooling. The greater connectivity delivered by this should allow students to be better informed about their career choices.”
