Water Restrictions Update
Water restrictions have now been lifted in Tairua and Whangamata.
This means that the only communities affected by water use restrictions are:
Matatoki - hose and sprinkler ban.
Omahu - sprinkler ban only.
There are currently no water restrictions in place for the following communities:
Puriri, Thames, Coromandel Town, Matarangi, Whitianga, Hahei, Tairua, Pauanui, Onemana and Whangamata.
Water restrictions are reviewed daily but updates will only be provided when there is a change in water restriction status.
Please continue to conserve water to delay possible future restrictions.
Water conservation tips:
Please do:
Take short showers, not baths
Fix any leaks and dripping taps
Use full loads to wash clothes/dishes
Please do not:
Wash cars, boats or trucks
Fill swimming pools
Water the garden in the heat of the day
Clean driveway/patio with hose
