Enquiries underway following Interpol fatal crash

Enquiries underway with Interpol to locate and advise next of kin following fatal crash overnight
The man killed in a fatal crash on Auckland's Southern Motorway overnight has been identified and Police are now trying to make contact with his next-of-kin overseas.
The young man is aged in his early twenties. Enquiries are underway with Interpol to locate and advise his family.
The Serious Crash Unit is investigating the cause of the crash and it will be several weeks before the outcome is determined.
The young man was ejected from the vehicle and investigators will also look to determine whether or not he was wearing a seatbelt.
Any available CCTV footage from motorway cameras will also be reviewed as part of the investigation.
The young man's name is not expected to be released today.
