Southland Police locate body
Last night, Police in Invercargill have located the body of Bernise Fiveash.
She was found by Police and LandSAR searchers on Motu Rimu Road, approximately 1 km from where the last believed sighting of her was.
Police have since removed Bernese’s body from the area and has referred her death to the coroner.
Police would like to thank members of the public who made contact with Police and reported sightings of Bernise in the Invercargill area over the last couple of days.
We would also like to thank the Police staff who have been making inquiries since Bernise went missing on Monday, and the LandSAR teams who assisted when the search of the identified area commenced.
As police have now referred her death to the coroner, police are unable to comment further on the circumstances leading to her death.
