Waitemata Police seeking Mansell Tehiritangi PENETANA after assault on Police
Statement - attribute to Acting Detective Sergeant Kim Davison of the Rodney CIB:
Rodney Police are seeking Mansell Tehiritangi PENETANA a 30 year old male Maori of solid build, 176cm tall.
He has an outstanding warrant to arrest for failing to appear at the Waitakere District Court on a serious assault charge.
He was arrested by Police at an address in Parakai, Hellensville yesterday (27th September).
He subsequently turned on the arresting Police officer, attacked him and then fled the scene.
It is possible that he is in the Whangarei area as he has family and associates there.
He is considered dangerous and should not be approached by members of the public and his appearance may be different from the photograph.
