Single Vehicle Fatal Crash - Port Waikato - Counties Manukau
At approximately 10.15pm on Thursday evening the Police were called to the the scene of a fatal crash involving a single
vehicle on Tuakau Bridge, Port Waikato just west of Klondyke Road. The crash had occurred sometime beforehand. The male
driver and single occupant of the vehicle died at the scene when the car he was driving failed to take a corner, left
the road and went into the Waikato River. The Counties Manukau Serious Crash unit is currently at the scene and the road
will be closed until about 4.30am Friday morning.
