Wellington Police seeking 19 year old male in breach of parole
Wellington Police are today seeking 19 year old Zane MCVEIGH for breach of parole.
McVeigh was released in July this year but overnight has breached the terms of his parole by removing his electronic bracelet and leaving the Wellington address he was residing at. The Wellington Communications Centre was advised by Corrections at 6:23pm last night that there was a possible breach and immediately swung in to action trying to locate him.
Both Public Safety Team and CIB staff, including the 24 hour Crime Squad, have been making inquiries in to locating him overseen by the District Command Centre. A number of address checks and inquiries with family members have been completed with no sign of McVeigh. Police now appeal to McVeigh to hand himself in. McVeigh is a male Maori, 183cm tall with a thin to medium build.
If the public has any information about McVeigh's whereabouts please contact the Wellington District Command Centre on (04) 381 5612. The public is advised not to approach McVeigh but to call 111 immediately if he is sighted. Anonymous information can also be provided to Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
