Police arrest three following disorder in North New Brighton
Canterbury Police investigations into a disorder incident near the BP Connect QEII at approximately 7pm on 24 February 2015 has resulted in three people being arrested. Witness reported a heated verbal exchange between two groups of boys escalated into physical altercation before one group fled the scene.
One boy aged 13 was taken to Christchurch Hospital as a precaution and the three others in the group were assessed by medics at the scene.
The 13 year old was discharged later that night.
A 29 year old man has been charged with assault and is due to appear in Christchurch District Court on 5 March 2015. Two boys aged 14 have been referred to Youth Services.
Police investigations into the incident are continuing.
