The Army Bomb Disposal Unit has examined a quarantined plane at Christchurch Airport and determined the white powder to be an innocuous substance.
At 11.44am Police were advised that white powder was found on some bags in an Air New Zealand A320 plane while it was being offloaded at Christchurch airport. Passengers were taken off the aircraft as a precaution and cordons were put in place. Shortly after 12.30pm specialists determined that the white powder poses no threat.
