Armed robbery men wanted
Auckland City Police want to identify and locate two men who, at 10:40pm last night (Saturday 27 September), robbed staff at a Mt Roskill liquor outlet at gunpoint.
The two staff at Melrose Wines, Beers and Spirits were confronted just before closing time and were threatened with a black handgun with a long barrel if they didn't provide alcohol and cash to the offenders.
Both were described as Maori or Polynesian in their early 20s. One was of medium build, approximately 5'10" tall, with facial hair (moustache and beard/goatee). He was wearing a brown/mustard camouflage jacket with big pockets on the front and black pants. His associate was of more solid build but the same height. He had long matted hair tied back, a moustache and beard and was wearing a black jersey/hoody, light grey baggy shorts to mid calf and black sneakers.
Both men left the scene in a white four-door hatchback/sedan.
Anyone with information about these men, the firearm or the vehicle should contact Auckland City CIB on 09 302 6400 or call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
