Charges laid in relation to armed robbery in Merivale

Christchurch Police charged a 20 year old male on Thursday with the Aggravated Robbery of the Merivale TAB on 4 September 2014.
Police recovered the stolen 1991 Red Ford Falcon Ute used by the offenders to flee the scene on Monday 22 September 2014. Police have also recovered the shotgun used in the robbery.
The male is currently in custody and will appear in the Christchurch District Court on Monday 29 September 2014.
Police are appealing to anyone who saw a distinctive 1991 Red Ford Falcon Ute (similar to the one pictured [photo link]) in the Merivale and St Albans Area, particularly the Bristol and Derby Street areas between 11am and 12am on Thursday 4 September 2014 to get in touch with them.
