Quad Bike Victim Named
At approximately 1.15pm on Friday 12 September 2014 the rider of quad motorbike has fallen from his vehicle at Fairview, Timaru and suffered fatal injuries.
He was Simon HALSEY aged 38 and was found in a paddock by a colleague. He had been moving stock on the farm when the crash occurred and inquiries into the cause of the accident are continuing.
Police will not be releasing any more information at this time.
Police continue to encourage the use of safety gear such as a wearing a helmet, high vis clothing and have appropriate training when using farm bikes or off road vehicles.
