Firearm incident in Porirua

Porirua Police are currently investigating an incident that occurred at around 1.00pm today (14 August 2014) in Cheshire St, Porirua.
A resident of Cheshire St reported having a firearm pointed at him.
Police attended and one person has been arrested.
An imitation firearm was recovered.
A 20 year old man will appear in Porirua District Court tomorrow to face a charge of Presenting a Firearm.

Police would like to thank residents of the area for their patience and co-operation during the course of the incident.
