Dunedin Craft Beer Expo
Held at The Historic Railway Station on September 20th the Craft Beer Expo. 25 + Breweries from around New Zealand as well as 8 local Dunedin bands are set to 'rock the railway' station on Election day 2014. Over 150 different beers , cider and wines are to be showcased. Great local food as well as Bluff Oysters and West Coast Whitebait are set to provide an amazing beer matching experience. We have master class home brew seminars from Gladfield Malt , wine tasting from gold medal winery Judge Rock Pinot Noir , Coffee and Beer mixing/ brewing techniques from Quick Brown Fox founder Arjun Haszard as well as a tasting session run by Hancock & Co making it a true Dunedin event to remember
An 8 carriage train will roll down from Oamaru stopping all stations as well as buses up from Invercargill. 2013 home brew champion Dale Booth is brewing the official 'Expo Beer' and has won the right to sell it at the event. Our home brew entries are open now with about 150 entries expected. The home brew comp winner also gets to brew and sell his or her beer at next years event.
Its the first event of this kind held at the Railway station which once pushed through 100 trains a day and was New Zealand busiest just 100 years ago!
