*"Examination underway"*
A Police Disaster Victim Identification (DVI) expert has started the process of examining the light plane recovered off the coast of Great Barrier Island yesterday morning.
Next of kin of missing Auckland pilot Daroish Kraidy were advised by Police last night that initial trawler crew reports that a body was in the wreckage, have been revised.
Inspector Mark Benefield says it is more accurate to say some human remains appear to be in the wreckage which will take some time to examine and formally identify.
The Civil Aviation Authority is not present at the Marine Rescue Centre today.
