Takapuna to Northcote Ferry Bike Lane
Auckland Council member Councillor George Wood is urging Northcote and Takapuna residents to engage in Auckland Transports consultation on the Takapuna to Northcote Ferry Wharf cycle way.
This is a $4 million project which will provide 5.2 kilometres of proposed walking and cycling improvements along Northcote Road, Lake Road and Queen Street and Taharoto Road/Northcote Road intersection (near Smales Farm) to Northcote Point Ferry Terminal.
Councillor Wood is also urging North Shore residents to attend the two open days at Northcote Library on Saturday, 9 August 2014 between 11am to 2pm and Wednesday, 13 August 2014 between 2pm and 5.30pm.
Councillor Wood says this project will have major consequences for residents along the route, especially those living along Queen Street, Lake Road and Northcote.
Residents have until Friday, 22 August 2014 to make their submission to Auckland Transport at https://at.govt.nz/northcotecycleroute.
