Rangitikei Line crash update – name release
Palmerston North Police can now release the name of the pedestrian who was killed in a collision early this morning on Rangitïkei Line.
He was Shane William Foster aged 28, of Bunnythorpe.
Sergeant Gina Atkinson says: "Officers are continuing to speak to the driver of the vehicle and other witnesses to ascertain the sequence of events leading up to the crash."
A scene examination was completed earlier today and the road was fully re-opened.
"We still don't have all the facts and we have more inquires to make and the Serious Crash Unit is supporting us with our investigation," says Sergeant Atkinson.
The death has been now been referred to the Coroner.
