Ban on city rodeos still in place
Auckland Council confirmed today it is not lifting the rodeo ban on council land, put into place in 2008 by the former Auckland City Council.
The decision by the legacy council was made in relation to its concerns for animal welfare and only relates to council land within the former Auckland City Council area.
A recent report mistakenly said the ban was no longer in place and had been replaced by the Auckland Council events policy.
