Maungakiekie-Tamaki Local Board notification: Community Grants Policy
The draft Community Grants Policy is currently out for consultation.
The policy will guide the allocation of council funding to groups and organisations involved in the delivery of projects, activities and services that benefit Aucklanders. It covers grants for arts and culture, community development, environment and heritage, events, and sports and recreation.
The policy aims to make the community grants programme simpler, fairer and more accessible to applicants.
Once the policy is adopted, the new programme will replace all existing community funding schemes.
The Maungakiekie-Tamaki Local Board are hosting a public engagement on the Community Grants Policy on Thursday, 7 August – 6pm at the Maungakiekie-Tamaki Local Board office, 7-13 Pilkington Road, Panmure.
You can provide your feedback using the online form, alternatively, the summary and a reference copy of the full policy document are also available to read at public libraries, local board offices, community centres and service centres.
Feedback on the Community Grants Policy closes at 5pm on Monday 11 August.

Local board plans are currently out for consultation.
The plans are strategic three-year documents for each local board which reflect the priorities and preferences of the community, and will guide:

• how we work with other agencies that play a key role in our area, including community groups, central government agencies and council-controlled organisations.
The easiest way to submit is via our online submission form.
Full draft local board plans and summary documents are available to download here or you can access a copy at your local board office, council service centres and selected libraries.
Submissions to the local board plan close at 5pm on Wednesday, 6 August 2014.
