It’s not too late to help shape GWRC’s Climate Change Strategy
The opportunity to provide input into the development of Greater Wellington Regional Council’s Climate Change Strategy
closes on 1 August.
The regional council wants to ensure we are doing all we can to mitigate and adapt to climate change by addressing
greenhouse gas emissions and planning for climate change impacts across our various roles and responsibilities,
including biodiversity management, pest control, flood protection, bulk water supply and public transport.
The Climate Change Strategy is being designed to help inform policy, plans and actions to address the changing climate
and ensure we are being as consistent as possible in our approach to reducing emissions.
The strategy will be used across the council to ensure climate change is being considered acrosswork programmes.
