Kaitaia man faces further sexual offence charges
A 66-year-old man will appear in the Kaikohe District Court today facing further sexual offence charges involving young children.
Late last year James Brian Sanders appeared in court facing 25 charges involving eight female victims aged from under 12 years to 12 - 16 years.
Two of the charges were for sexual violation and the rest were for indecent assault.
Another 17 charges have been laid including one of sexual violation by rape, nine indecent assault against a female aged 12 - 16 years, six representative indecent assault against a female aged 12 - 16 years and one representative indecent assault against a female aged over 16 years.
The latest charges date from 1997 - 2006 when Sanders was living in a small community south of Whangärei and involve another five victims.
Police have spoken to a number of victims and witnesses, but are still interested in any further information relating to this case.
