Police Appeal for Crash Witnesses - Otahuhu
Police are investigating a crash that occurred on Portage Road, Otahuhu, on the 12th of June at around 2pm.
The vehicle, an RX7 was particularly distinctive as it had a custom paint job - pink at the front fading to a dark purple at the back with a graphic on the bonnet.
The car had been witnessed travelling at high speed before losing control on a bend and colliding with a tree. The driver was transported to Middlemore Hospital by ambulance but sadly died last night.
“We are appealing for anyone who witnessed the crash or saw or heard the car prior to the crash and has not been spoken to by Police to contact us as soon as possible” says Constable Graham Mako of the Counties Manukau Serious Crash Unit.
