Homicide investigation underway in Henderson
At 7.29am this morning, Police were called to a shop in Great North Road, following reports that a robbery was occurring.
On arrival Police officers discovered a seriously injured man. Ambulance staff attempted first aid however the man died at the scene.
Enquiries are in the very early stages however at this time Police believe the man has been stabbed in the neck.
A homicide investigation has been launched.
The deceased man is believed to work in the shop where the incident has occurred.
At the moment the offender/offenders are outstanding.
A large number of Police are at the scene and Officers are speaking to several witnesses who were in the area at the time.
A press conference will be held at the Henderson Police Station at 2.30pm this afternoon.
