Upper Hutt City Council Community Grants funding scheme opening soon
Applications for Community Grant funding will open on Monday, 2 June 2014.
UPPER HUTT, Wellington NZ, 30 MAY 2014—Each year, Upper Hutt City Council provides grant funding to community groups either working in Upper Hutt or for community organisations that benefit the residents of Upper Hutt.
There are two separate funds that are available within this scheme. The Regional Grant is for national bodies, organisations with a regional focus, or organisations based outside of Upper Hutt. The second is the Community Grant, which provides funding for locally-based organisations that provide services to the Upper Hutt community.
The Community Grant funds are contestable and applications are considered on how well they meet one of the three main priorities areas. These include the operation or administration costs for organisations involved in community support work, projects which enhance existing community support programmes and community driven programmes which contribute to community well-being. All applications that lie outside of these priorities will be considered after these.
The funding round opens for applications on Monday 2 June and will close on Wednesday 30 July. So if you are part of an organisation that services Upper Hutt residents and you feel like your need for funding assistance lies within one of the three priority categories, then visit www.upperhuttcity.com/funding-assistance for an application form.
