Witnesses to Fatal Collision Sought

Police are investigating a collision that occurred on Sykes Road, Weymouth at 12:45pm on Saturday 24th of May and would like to speak with anyone who witnessed the incident.
A 5 year old child hit by a car tragically died as a result of the collision.
“We are hoping to speak to anyone who witnessed the collision as they can offer valuable information that is vital to this investigation” says Serious Crash Investigator Constable Andre Taylor. “We are also looking for any witnesses who saw children playing on the roadside near the intersection with Ashmere Lane or near the park opposite Ashmere Lane around this time.”
Police are appealing for any witnesses to contact Constable Taylor on 09 262 9141 or the organisation Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
