Te Puru Boat Ramp Toilets Now Open For Business
The Te Puru toilets have been lifted and modernised and are now open for business.
After consultation with the Te Puru Boat Ramp Society and nearby residents it was decided a change was needed due to the fact that during storm surges, the toilet was being flooded.
"Although the building is now open, additional landscaping is still to occur," said Derek Thompson, Thames Parks Contract Manager. "We've held off with the planting until the colder winter months. Ideally we'd like some rain to bring the soil moisture content up, to assist with the plants survival," he added.
