Survey seeking Rotorua residents’ views on council services
Rotorua District Council is asking Rotorua residents’ for their views on a wide range of council services, through an
independent survey getting underway on Friday (23 May).
National Research Bureau (NRB), an independent research company which conducts surveys for a number of local authorities
throughout New Zealand, has been commissioned to carry out the survey and report back to the council with their
findings.
The council says results from the NRB residents’ perceptions survey form part of their formal reporting processes and
community accountability. They are also critical components for planning further improvement to delivery of council
services and facilities.
NRB research personnel use a recognised randomised selection method to contact a cross-section of the district’s
residents by telephone, asking their opinions on services the council provides for the Rotorua community. The survey is
completely confidential and only collated results are made available to the council.
Telephone interviews for the NRB survey commence on Friday (23 June) and continue through until Wednesday 4 June.
Results are expected to be publically available in July.
