Two community grant schemes open for applications
Nearly $40,000 in funding is on offer in two community grant schemes that have just opened for applications.
The Shannon Community Development Grant, open for applications until 5pm on Friday 6 June, provides financial support to projects that bring benefits to the Shannon community.
Groups and individuals can apply for funding, with approximately $13,000 available to distribute each year. The Grant is governed by the Shannon Community Development Trust and administered by the Council.
The Rural Halls Grant provides funding to help non-profit societies and organisations maintain and insure rural halls throughout Horowhenua District.
This Grant distributes up to $25,000 for rural halls each year. Applications will remain open until 5pm on Thursday 31 July.
