Four year old dies after quad-bike crash
lice have confirmed that a four-year old boy has died in Starship Hospital in Auckland following a quad-bike crash on a Tai Tapu farm late last month.
The crash occurred on Sunday 27 April at a Tai Tapu property. Police believe the boy was riding on a quad-bike with an adult when the crash occurred.
The boy suffered serious injuries and was transferred to Starship Hospital. He died as a result of his injuries on Saturday.
The adult rider, aged in his 60s, was also injured in the crash and received hospital treatment but has now been discharged.
The Police serious crash unit is investigating. The name of the deceased, who did not live at the property, is not yet available. The family has requested that their privacy is respected at this difficult time.
