Call out to help be part of someone’s success story
Westfield Queensgate is inviting you to be part of someone’s success story.
From Friday 9th May to Sunday 18th May Westfield Queensgate is inviting pre-loved suits, shoes, dresses, handbags and
coats from local shoppers to be brought into the centre to be donated to Dress for Success Wellington, supporting other
women to start their success stories.
Dress for success Wellington helps women put their best foot forward, providing quality clothing, styling advice, and a
network of support as they enter or re-enter the work force.
“Be part of a success story” Westfield Queensgate Style Week is the first ever week of in-Centre fashion events running
over a week long period from the Friday 9th – Thursday 15th May
“We are excited to work with Dress for Success Wellington, particularly during our first ever Style Week. Throughout
Style Week there are a variety of events with stylists, retailers, and hair and beauty specialists. While shoppers are
updating their winter wardrobe, they can also help another woman with her success story, perhaps by donating the item
they are replacing”, says Laura Hinderwell, Marketing Manager for Westfield Queensgate
“Dress for Success is delighted to be partnering with Westfield Queensgate for Winter Style week, especially as we are
in the business of empowering women to achieve economic independence by dressing and styling them in work-appropriate
clothing” says Dress for Success President Helen Trim.
“We also provide wrap-around programmes to up skill them, such as our Breakfast Club which started in Lower Hutt last
week and is running successfully in Upper Hutt and Wellington. The six week, hour-long programme gives women the tools
and skills to enhance their opportunities of employment and is being held at the Lower Hutt library”.
