Christchurch homicide update: New scene examination
Christchurch Police have today launched a new scene examination in the homicide investigation following the discovery of a man's body in Christchurch last Sunday.
Detectives and forensic experts investigating the death of the man [NOTE: identity remains suppressed] have this morning executed a search warrant and are commencing a scene examination at an address in Conference Street, central Christchurch.
Detective Inspector Greg Murton says that significant activity is believed to have occurred at this address, resulting in the death of the victim.
The scene examination is continuing at the Earnslaw Street address where the body was located on Sunday, and is expected to be completed tomorrow.
The post mortem was completed yesterday and the body of the deceased returned to his family.
