COUNCIL LOGO WELLINGTON'S ECONOMIC PRIORITY
29 APRIL 2014
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Responding to the Wellington City Council’s decision to ditch the $24,000 logo which the Council launched in November, Jordan Williams, Executive Director of theTaxpayers’ Union says:
“Following the criticisms of spending too much on things that don't matter, it appears that councillors couldn't help paying more for creatives to have another go."
"What confidence can Wellingtonians have in the Council when this is the priority of the committee responsible for Wellington’s economic growth? No one moves to a city because its council has a fancy logo.”
“Talk about tackling the issues that don't matter. Perhaps its time we stop paying councillors on a per meeting basis.”
