Serious Motor Vehicle Incident in Waitemata
Police are in attendance at a serious motor vehicle collision on State Highway 16 near Wellsford.
At least one person has sustained serious injuries and is being airlifted to hospital. A second person is also believed
to be injured and currently receiving medical attention at the scene.
Roadblocks and diversions have been established at State Highway 16 Wellsford for southbound traffic and State Highway
16 and West Coast Road for northbound traffic.
Waitemata Serious Crash Unit is in attendance and will be investigating the cause of the collision.
Diversions are expected to be in place for at least the next hour.
