Person of Interest Identified for Aggravated Robberies
Counties Manukau Police investigating the aggravated robbery of the Mobil service station at Mt Wellington on the 23rd
of April 2014 are investigating the possibility that it is linked with another robbery at the Mobil station on Apirana
Ave, Glen Innes on Friday 18 April and another recent incident which occurred at the Caltex service station in Penrose
yesterday morning. The first incident occurred at 1:30am on Good Friday, when two offenders, one with a firearm, smashed
their way through the door of the Mobil station on Apirana Ave, Glen Innes. Cash was targeted and the offenders left
within two minutes of arriving.
The second incident was on Wednesday 23 April, at 1:25am, where two offenders smashed through the glass of the door of
the Mobil station on Mt Wellington Highway. The offenders discharged a firearm at a door and window and left the
premises with cash and cigarettes in a stolen Nissan.
The most recent incident occurred at about 1:00am yesterday morning (Thursday 24 April) when three offenders entered the
Caltex station in Penrose. One offender confronted the lone store attendant with the firearm and assaulted him with it.
The two other offenders took shop items and cash before fleeing the premises in a brown mini van.
Police are currently investigating the similarities between these incidents. Police believe 17 year old Breyarn Hose can
assist with enquiries or information in regards to these recent aggravated robberies and wish to speak to him as soon as
possible.
Breyarn is believed to be in the Auckland area with associates but has no fixed abode. He has warrants to arrest issued
by Dargaville District Court. Anyone with information on Breyarn's whereabouts or any of the three aggravated robberies
should contact Counties Manukau Police Crime Squad on 09 261 1321. To provide information anonymously contact the
organisation Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
