White substance found in envelope at Mail Centre

Emergency services attending incident at Mail Centre
Police and other emergency services are attending an incident at the Christchurch Mail Centre on Orchard Road, after a white powder substance was found in an envelope.
Part of the mail sorting centre has been isolated and around 80 staff evacuated from that part of the complex as a precaution until the substance has been identified.
Police and other agencies are now working to identify the substance.
Police were alerted to the incident shortly after 12.30pm.
