Aggravated Robbery At Whangarei Liquor Store
Police are investigating the aggravated robbery of a Whangärei liquor store
yesterday.
About 6.30pm a man wearing a dark hoodie and bandana entered the Whangärei Liquor Centre on Maunu Road.
He presented a weapon, believed to be a firearm, at the store assistant and demanded money and cigarettes.
The offender then left with some cash and cigarettes and was last seen heading down the alleyway towards First Avenue.
Police would like to hear from anyone who may have witnessed the incident or noticed any suspicious activity in the area at the time of robbery.
