SH25 Coromandel peninsula road closure
State Highway 25 is now closed from Hikuai in the south to Whitianga in the north.
Traffic is still using the Thames coast road, however very recent reports now indicate some flooding around Goldfields Road in Nanaia. On site emergency service reports are yet to be received.
Further updates regarding traffic conditions will be made.
Motorists are encouraged to delay any travel plans to the peninsula until such time as advised that the roads are passable and open.
