The World's most Ethnically diverse Market set to open in Manukau
Auckland is home to more ethnicities than there are countries in the world and the time to celebrate our unique place in the world is now.
The Manukau Markets begins on this Easter Sunday April 20th at the Vodafone Events Centre in Manukau and will run each Sunday from 6.00am to 12.00 midday wet or fine.
The goal is to celebrate Auckland’s unique ethnic and cultural diversity in one huge market in South Auckland and with more than 400 stallholder sites available the Manukau Markets promises to be the biggest of its kind in New Zealand and possibly the most ethnically diverse market anywhere in the world.
With strong pre registrations the market is already attracting a wide variety of stallholders from Artists, Clairvoyants and Buskeers to Glass & Pottery makers, Jewelry & Flower sellers, as well as the traditional Fruit and Vegetable growers.
Special attention is being given to attract food operators from the vast pool of ethnic and cultural groups which exist in Auckland.
A dedicated area of 5 sites is being set aside free of charge for Community and Non Profit organizations to spread their message to a wider audience and up and coming live bands can also perform free of charge in a band zone adjacent to the market.
