Search Warrant Executed in Manurewa

Counties Manukau Police have this morning executed a search warrant at two properties on Great South Road, Manurewa.
Great South Road was closed between Alfriston Road and Mahia Road from around 5:30am while the warrant was executed. Police entered the properties in seach for 35 year old Ian Evans, who is wanted on a Parole Recall Warrant and is known to frequent both addresses.
Detective Sergeant Craig Bolton says that the search for Mr Evans continues. “Unfortunately Mr Evans was not located during this search warrant, but Police did recover a stolen Isuzu ute which had two different stolen registration plates, as well as some drug paraphernalia and some other items that will be investigated by the Clan Lab team.”
The vehicle was stolen from a dealership in January this year.
Police are interested to hear from anyone who knows anything about Ian Evans’ whereabouts.
“Police consider him to be armed do not approach him. If you see him, call 111 immediately,” says Detective Sergeant Bolton.
